Description

This Beet Latte will boost your energy without caffeine! The subtle sweet taste of beet pairs perfectly with bright orange and sweet maple.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup, to taste
  • 1-2 (2) inch strips orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon beet powder, more or less to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Add the almond milk, maple and orange zest to a small pot over medium heat.

Once steaming, whisk in the beet powder and vanilla extract. Pour into a glass and enjoy!


Notes

Milk: I like almond milk, oat, or soy in this recipe, but any milk you like will do the job!

Sweetener: you can substitute your sweetener of choice.

Orange zest: I use a vegetable peeler to peel 2-inch long strips that are about 1-inch wide.

Beet powder: I buy mine online or at a my local health food store. Then I also use it in smoothies or as a natural food coloring alternative.
