Dal Tadka is a creamy Indian lentil dish made with lentils, tomatoes, and spices. This easier recipe uses everyday ingredients! It’s vegetarian and gluten free.

Add the lentils & pigeon peas. Soak & drain.

Cook the onion and jalapeno until softened.

Add the tomatoes, garlic, ginger, spices & salt.

Add the drained lentils to the pot, cook until tender.

Blend the mixture and butter until smooth.

Add the spices in, cook until seeds are toasted.

Remove from heat, drizzle over the dal & enjoy!
