Description
This easy DIY Detox Charcoal Face Mask offers all the benefits of the fancy store bought masks, at a fraction of the cost! Charcoal and clay will pull dirt and oil from your pores and leave you with soft clean skin and visibly smaller pores.

- 1 1/2 tablespoon bentonite clay
- 1/2 teaspoon activated charcoal powder (2 capsules)
- 1 1/2 - 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Add the clay and charcoal to a small glass bowl. Using a glass or wooden utensil, stir the mixture together. Add in the apple cider vinegar until your desired consistency is achieved. I recommend 1 1/2 tablespoons of vinegar for normal to oily skin and 2 tablespoons for sensitive skin.
- Using your fingers, or a face brush, apply the mask in an even layer. Let the mask sit until dry, about 20-30 minutes. Once the mask is fully dry, splash some warm water onto your face to help loosen the mask. Take a wet washcloth and gently wipe off the mask. Once the mask is removed, apply a toner and moisturizer. Use this makes 1-2 times per week. Store any unused mask in a lidded container for 1 week.
Notes
- For maximum benefits, apply the mask right when you get out of the shower or bath. The warm water will have steamed your pores open and it will be easier for the mask to draw out toxins and clean your pores.
- Do not use metal when mixing, storing or applying the mask. Metal will deactivate the detoxing properties of both the clay and the charcoal. Instead, use a wooden
or glass utensil. - The thickness of you mask will determine the intensity. For sensitive skin, I recommend adding in more apple cider vinegar. This will allow you to spread on a thinner layer of the mask and will be gentler on your skin.
