Detox Charcoal Black Lemonade

This Charcoal Black Lemonade recipe can help rid your body of toxins and reduce bloating all white tasting just like a tall glass of freshly squeezed lemonade.

This powerful detox drink tastes just like lemonade!

UPDATE! Due to the overwhelming popularity of this post, my husband and I created and sell Detox Charcoal Lemonade powder. All you have to do is add water!

Just when my roommates thought things couldn't get any weirder, I started drinking this...

Charcoal Black Lemonade.

You should have seen the look of horror as I proudly totted around a jug of what looked suspiciously close to pond water. In hindsight, I suppose I should have warned them. But then again, they need me to make rent each month. So it doesn't look like my Charcoal Black lemonade and I will be going anywhere ;)

Don't be fooled by the color, this detox drink tastes just like lemonade!

In all seriousness, this Charcoal Black Lemonade drink might not look appealing, but it tastes pretty much exactly like regular lemonade. The charcoal is tasteless and seriously good for you. Charcoal is the new thing in the health food world, here is exhibit A, exhibit B, and finally, exhibit C.

Don't be fooled by the color, this detox drink tastes just like lemonade!

Charcoal has the ability to rid the body of unwanted substances, can decrease gas and bloat, and may even improve heart health. And take it from someone who has had her share of stomach aches, charcoal works.

If you are having trouble locating this miracle black powder, I buy mine from Amazon.

So raise your murky black glass and cheers to health disguised as delicious lemonade.

Description

Despite its murky appearance, this detox drink tastes just like lemonade! I buy my charcoal in capsule form from a vitamin store or on Amazon. When I am ready to make this drink, I just cup open the capsule and I am ready to go!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice ((more or less to taste))
  • Stevia to taste ((I used about 15 drops))
  • ¼ teaspoon (about 1 capsule) activated charcoal

Instructions

  1. Whisk together all of the ingredients until desired taste is achieved. Serve over ice.

You might want to mention activated charcoal's ability to absorb "toxins" from the body can also cause it to absorb any prescription medication (or multivitamins, etc) you've taken 3-4 hours before and after taking activated charcoal.
It's great for food poisoning because of this property.

I am just wondering how often can you drink this? Once a week everyday should you mix it up with different detox drinks. I'm new to all this and trying to get me and my boyfriend on a healthy path

Hi Amy, The charcoal that I use comes in pill form, which I cut open to make this drink. The bottle says you can take up to 4 pills a day, so I would say this is safe to consume daily if you would like to. However, please remember that I am not a doctor and am only recommending what has worked for me. In my personal life, I like to mix things up, so that I many getting as many nutrients in my diet as possible. I will drink kombucha, water kefir, lemon water, tea, and other healthy drink along with this throughout the week. If you love this drink, I say drink it daily! But if you crave other healthy drinks, feel free to mix it up :)

Great article you shared! I really appreciate the benefit of charcoal and consider it as a natural medicine for gas bloating. People with high cholesterol can try Activated Charcoal Drink Recipes as it helps decrease cholesterol level. But there is one caution for pregnant ladies and people with severe health disease. I went through a blog a few months back and there I got this lemonade recipe and I loved it so much. But I don’t drink it daily, cause it can cause constipation and nausea. Overall this is also best as hangover companion!
