This Almond Spiced White Russian recipe is a fun holiday twist on the traditional cocktail! For a dairy free drink, almond milk gets steeped with spices like cinnamon and nutmeg to infuse this beverage with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 10 whole allspice berries
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
  • 1/4 cup vodka

Instructions

  1. Add the almond milk, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and maple to a small saucepot. Over medium-high heat, bring the mixture to a simmer. Remove from the heat, add in the almond extract, place a lid on a pot, and let steep for 15 minutes. Transfer to the fridge to chill.
  2. Once the almond milk has chilled, add in the coffee liqueur and vodka, and stir.
  3. Place ice in a glass. Pour the cocktail over the ice and serve.
