Helllllloooooo sweet, spicy, warm, winter Hot Spiced Wine. It’s easy. Delicious. It’s exactly what I will be drinking at every party, get-together, weekend, weekday, brunch, lunch and dinner until the highs start tipping into the 50s.

It all starts with some red wine, the best holiday spices like cinnamon and cloves, some orange slices, and a few cups of bright and tart pomegranate juice. Then we slow cook this wintery cocktail until all of the flavors get infused into the wine.

Then we serve it up warm to our best pals and favorite family members while celebrating the holiday season.

One beautiful thing about this recipe is that it’s made in the crock pot aka: dump in all the ingredients, set that crock to low, and let her do all the work.

Perfect for hands off party prep when you still want to impress your guests with a killer winter cocktail.

Equally perfect for satisfying pajama-clad lazy weekend Hot Spiced Wine cravings from the couch.

Now, there is a time and place, friends, for pulling out the top shelf wine, but this is not it. Today is the day to pick a mid-priced, under 20 buckaroonies, bottle that still has good flavor. Maybe one that you would cook with or your weeknight go-to red.

Since we are going to be piling in the holiday flavors into this Hot Spiced Wine, we would cover up the flavors of a stellar bottle. So save that red for another time and get yourself a good middle shelf red.

Once you add in the cinnamon, cloves, and orange slices, we will be in Hot Spiced Wine heaven.
