Description

Four ingredient Ginger Turmeric Shots can be made in either a blender or a juicer and are PACKED with health benefits! Sweet, spicy, and addicting!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 oranges, peeled
  • 2 lemons, peeled
  • 8 oz turmeric, cut into 1-2 inch chunks
  • 8 ounces ginger, cut into 1-2 inch chunks
  • Pinch black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water, more or less as needed

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the juice through a nut milk bag or cheese cloth. Squeeze the pulp to extract all the juice.
  3. Enjoy!

Notes

To make in a juicer: Pass the lemons, oranges, ginger and turmeric through your juices. Then stir in a pinch of black pepper to the finished juice. Omit the water.

Storage: To store them in the fridge, place them in a jar or lidded container and store in the fridge for up to 2 days. For longer storage, pour the shots into a freezer safe jar and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before consuming.

Halving the recipe: if you are using a juicer, halving the recipe should be no problem. In a blender, however, halving the recipe makes it very difficult for the blender to blend properly.
