Description

Hot Honey is an easy 15 minute recipe that is the perfect balance sweet, spicy, and acidic. Use it on toast, pizza, in salad dressings and more.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 jalapeno, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

Add the peppers and honey to a pot. Simmer for 5 minutes to infuse the flavors. Set aside off heat and let sit for 10 more minutes. Stir in the apple cider vinegar.

Using a fine-mesh strainer, strain out the peppers and pour the honey into jar or other lidded container. Once cool, lid and store in the pantry.

Notes

Batch size: this creates a small batch. Feel free to double!

Storage: store in pantry for 3 months or longer. Honey is a natural preservative, so this has a very long shelf life.
