Easy DIY Hair Growth Serum will increase hair growth, thickness, and strengthen your strands! This simple homemade 5 ingredient recipe is non-toxic beauty at its finest.
My sister got all the good hair genes in our family. Thick, bouncy, soft, blond hair.
I am just over here with my brown locks thanking my lucky stars that I am well endowed in other areas, because thick beautiful hair is not my best feature.
I am always doing whatever I can to keep my hair healthy, happy, and free from breakage. I've tried sleeping on a silk pillowcase (which I actually love!), banishing the blow dryer, and avoiding hot styling tools, but sometimes a girl just wants some loose waves and the only way to get there is a good blowout and a curling iron. The best solution I have found that allows me to live my best hair life and still keep my strands healthy is this Hair Growth Serum.

This serum increases hair growth and thickness while improving overall hair health and strength. It can even prevent thinning and has antibacterial and antifungal properties to keep scalp health in tip-top shape.
After using this weekly for some time, my sister had better watch out! Luscious locks here I come!
While this might not correct genetic hair tendencies, it will nourish, strengthen, and increase growth for all hair types, giving you your best hair possible.
Castor oil is the base of our hair growth serum. Castor oil is an age-old hair remedy. Not only can it stop hair thining in its tracks, it will increase new hair growth, growth speed, and thickness. Castor oil is also full of antioxidants that can strengthen hair and prevent frizz.
Now here comes the fun part, you get to choose the second oil in this recipe. Castor oil is very thick, so to get our hair growth serum to a massage-into-scalp-able consistency, we need to dilute it with a thinner oil. Great options are avocado oil, olive oil
, jojoba oil
, and fractioned coconut oil
. I usually use whatever I have in my cupboard. Just make sure it is a high quality cold-pressed oil for best results.
Next, we add some rosemary essential oil. This herbal oil is an essential ingredient. It has been shown to stimulate hair growth and can make our hair grow faster and come in thicker.
Lavender essential oil adds a nice fragrance to the hair growth serum. It can also boost the effects of the rosemary essential oil, making our serum a hair growth triple threat. It will increase circulation to the scalp, increase hair growth, and increase hair growth speed.
Finally, a few drops of clary sage oil will add another layer of hair growth benefits. It, of course, thickens hair and promotes growth, but it also balances scalp oils, prevents dandruff, and balances hormones, which can be a big factor in promoting thicker hair.
I usually apply this hair growth serum to dirty hair, since I will have to wash the serum out anyway.
Throw on an old shirt, as the castor oil will stain anything it touches, and pour a quarter-sized amount of the serum into your hands.
Massage it into your scalp. This is your spa moment.
Repeat until your scalp is coated with the serum, and you look like a homeless person who hasn't showered in weeks.
Just go with it. Run some errands, walk the dog, get some house chores done.
An hour or two later, wash your hair thoroughly to remove all of the oil. Style as usual and repeat once a week for best results.

- 10 drops rosemary essential oil
- 10 drops Lavender essential oil
- 5 drops Clary sage essential oil
Instructions

- Combine all the ingredients in a glass jar. Screw on the lid and give it a shake to combine.
To use the Hair Growth Serum:

Notes
While the castor oil is in your hair, keep your noggin away from all fabrics! Castor oil is great at stimulating hair growth, but it is equally great at staining and ruining any fabric that it touches. I often place a shower cap over my head to prevent any stains.
