This Iced Coconut Water Matcha Latte is a 5 minute, 2 ingredient drink that is full of healthy antioxidants. It will give you sustained energy for hours!

The love affair with matcha continues.

I hope you are on board, because recently, we have been on a matcha kick. Exhibit A, B, and C.

But who wouldn't love this energizing green drink that boasts so many nutrients and level energy.

This Iced Coconut Water Matcha Latte is fueling my summer.

This drink is included in every single ideal summer situation my sunshine loving brain can imagine. At the lake? Iced Coconut Water Matcha Latte in my hand. Just finished a sunny hike? This green drink is present. Laying in bed on a Sunday binge watching the latest and greatest Netflix Original? Still there.

Because, this Iced Coconut Water Matcha Latte gives us all the energy to tackle whatever summer situation comes our way, while keeping us cool, calm, and collected at the same time. Matcha contains caffeine, but it also contains L-theanine, which scientist speak for a cool substance that calms you down. The caffeine upper, plus the L-theanine downer = smooth, calm, alertness.

And for someone who becomes a jittery, hangry, not-good-to-be-around mess after a cup of coffee, L-theanine is my new best pal.

Plus! This Iced Coconut Water Matcha Latte contains another one of our trendy food friends: coconut water.

When that hot summer sun hits us and we begin to feel that perspiration forming in that place that leads us to tighten our arms into our sides so as to avoid showing off those infamous pit stains, coconut water can come to the rescue! It is not so powerful to make those dark rings disappear, but it can replenish our bodies with minerals that we loose during a sweat sesh.

And the real added bonus here is that coconut water gives our Iced Coconut Water Matcha Latte natural sweetness! It lends its light coconutty flavor and natural sugars to create a tropical tasting, umbrella worthy, drink.

Summer, we are ready for you!

So excited about this drink! Love getting coconut into my diet and matcha is a great alternative for coffee for this pregnant mama. However, I hate to use the blender in the mornings in fear of waking my toddler. Do you think this is something where I couldn't make a batch the night before or for several days and it wouldn't get weird?

Hi Anna, absolutely! A big batch should keep well in the fridge for 3-4 days. I have been loving matcha now that I am pregnant too!

I use a frother in the mornings to mix my drink and it doesn't wake anyone.

With so many different kinds of matcha do you have a favorite brand?

Hi Kristene! I really love the brand Matcha Love and buy their organic matcha. It has great flavor and a great price!
