This 2 ingredient Exfoliating Papaya Enzyme Mask will leave you with glowing, clean, and healthy skin. This easy DIY will reduce aging, discoloration, and acne.
They say that a key factor in preventing the signs of skin aging is regular exfoliation. And boy have I scrubbed, masked, and tried every exfoliating tool on the market!
After learning that gently exfoliation is best for the skin, I traded in my harsh scrubs and chemical-laden masks in favor of this gentler, but every bit as effective, Exfoliating Papaya Enzyme Mask.
It is a simple 2 ingredient (with an optional 3rd!) recipe that can be made in as little as 2 minutes. It takes just 10 minutes on your skin to work its magic, and you will be left with radiant, even-toned, deeply cleaned, and exfoliated skin.
Papaya is loaded with naturally occurring enzymes. Instead of using the whole fruit, I buy a high quality juice (with the pulp) from the vitamin section of my grocery store or online. Then I store the bottle in the fridge and pull it out whenever I want to make this Exfoliating Papaya Enzyme Mask.
The enzymes in papaya help to exfoliate the skin gently without any harsh scrubs or chemicals. In addition to exfoliating away dead skin and dry patches, it also moisturizes, prevents acne, and reduces hyper pigmentation and age spots.
Baking soda is another super exfoliater. The small size of the baking soda granules means less scratching and more exfoliating. It is gentle on the skin but is powerful in cleaning out pores and reducing acne. It evens out skin tone and gives skin a bright healthy glow.
Matcha is an optional ingredient, but who doesn't want the opportunity to pain their face green? Benefits other than preparing for Halloween include reduced redness, an even skin tone, and lots of antioxidants to reduce signs of aging. When I use matcha in my skincare I notice that my skin is left with that coveted "glow".
This Exfoliating Papaya Enzyme Mask is best used fresh, so mix it up and immediately paint it on your visage. Wait for the mask to dry, which takes about 10 minutes, and then rinse off with warm water. If the mask is tingling, it means it's working.
When rinsing it off, I like to use small circular potions to get a little "scrub" action and further the exfoliation. Once you rinse it off, your skin will be exfoliated, radiant, and have a nice glow.
I recommend using this mask weekly for best results.
