It took me about 10 tries before I nailed this Chocolate Chip Banana Bread recipe on its head. Some of the loaves were too try, some were nearly completely raw, and some had a very questionable sandy texture. I nearly threw in the kitchen towel several times. But, this Chocolate Chip Banana Bread loaf was worth each and every failure.
This has to be my best baking recipe of all time.
Not only is this Gluten Free Vegan Chocolate Chip Banana Bread a dream to eat, it is a dream to bake too! All you need are 9 ingredients and one bowl.

Confession time: I like undercooked Chocolate Chip Banana Bread.
You know, where the end slices are all the way cooked through, but the middle slices are a little gooey in the center. It is like a banana bread batter and banana bread combo all in one. And I used to fight anyone and everyone in our house for these coveted slices. Any other gooey center lovers out there??

What are you using for chocolate chips? Chocolate chips are not vegan.
Hi Connie, You can of course use any chocolate chips you like, but here are my favorite vegan chocolate chip options: Pascha Organic Dark Chocolate Chips, Enjoy Life Semi Sweet Mega Chunks, and Lily’s Dark Chocolate Chips. And sometimes I even chop up a bar of vegan dark chocolate to use as “chips” too.
This looks amazing! Love that you didn’t use oat flour.
Thank you, Alison!
