Aka fries that are perfectly seasoned, baked until crispy and brimming with flavor BUT are made out of humble delicious healthy parsnips instead of potatoes.
Let’s look closer at the hero of this Low Carb Jojo’s recipe: the parsnip.
Parsnips are kinda like carrots and kinda like potatoes. Except they are sweeter than carrots, less starchy than potatoes, and have their own special kinda flavor. Which to be honest, it not everyone’s favorite
BUT when seasoned with a special blend of garlic powder, onion powder and paprika, then baked, something magical happens. Their sweetness mellows out, the Jojo spices shine, they get crave-ably crisp. Ready to be served alongside burgers and plunged into ketchup.
The way it shakes out, these Low Carb Jojo’s have fewer carbs AND less sugar than regular potatoes. They have 18 grams net of carbs and clock in at just a little over 113 calories for a heaping serving of fries.
So everyone on a paleo or low carb diet, these fries are for you. BUT the main reason to enjoy these fries? Regardless of dietary preferences?…. They are DOWNRIGHT DELICIOUS.Print
