Floral Vinegar Toner is an easy DIY recipe that harness the skin healing, soothing, and detoxifying properties of rose, lavender, and apple cider vinegar. Perfect for all skin types!
Floral Vinegar Toner is one of the easiest DIY recipes around. Just soak some dried rosebuds and lavender in raw apple cider vinegar and voila! You have a potent floral vinegar that has absorbed all the fragrance and beauty benefits these flowers have to give.
Then, you take this versatile vinegar and use it in your beauty routine to pack in the benefits! Use it to make a toner that benefits all skin types and will leave you with a serious glow (recipe below!), add a cup to your bath to detox your skin and relax, or run it through your hair for silky shine.
There are 3 simple ingredients that pack our floral vinegar with benefits:
The base of the recipe is raw apple cider vinegar which is used to extract the beneficial compounds from the lavender and rose. It also comes with a mile long list of its own benefits. When it comes to skin, ACV will sooth and moisturize dry skin while simultaneously removing excess oil. It exfoliates for a radiant glow, unclogs pores, fights acne, and reduces fine lines.
For hair, apple cider vinegar can reduce dandruff, detox your scalp of product and oil buildup, give your hair a glossy shine, and prevent hair loss.
And for the body? More benefits here as well! Adding it to a bath will soothe skin and reduce inflammation, it can prevent and heal razor bumps and burn, soothe a sunburn, and even make smelly feet fresh again.
What can't this vinegar do?
The soothing scent of lavender is more than enough of a reason to incorporate it into this Floral Vinegar, but it also will help diminish age spots, moisturize skin, soften lines, and stop acne in its tracks.
Rose buds give our vinegar its rosey hue and additional beauty benefits. Rose can moisturize dry skin and protect it from pollution. This flower calms inflamed skin and reduces redness, whether it's from acne or dryness. It even tightens pores and tones skin for a dewy glow.
If you are using it in your hair or body, simply add it to your bath, and dilute it 1 to 1 with water before pouring it over your hair. But my favorite way yo use this Floral Vinegar, is to make it into a toner.
For the toner, you will add distilled water (very very important for shelf life) and honey to the party. The honey is strictly optional, but a good quality raw honey or manuka honey will boost the effectiveness of the toner even further. Then store this mixture in a glass jar and use a cotton round to swipe it over your clean skin.
