Freezer Smoothie Packs are the perfect breakfast meal prep! Just as easy as the expensive delivery service, but a fraction of the cost! Each pack is ready in 5 minutes.
Have you guys tried smoothie delivery services? How do you like them? Steadfast believer? Or do you still a handful of your least favorite of the $8 smoothies tucked away in the depths of your freezer?
I am personally 110% on board with the idea of a one step, dump and blend, super healthy, you can even do it half asleep, breakfast smoothie. Not so keen, however, on the steep price tag.
But these homemade smoothie packs are here and ready to make our mornings as easy, tasty, and healthy as possible!
The principle is the same, all you have to do is dump, blend, and sip your way out the door. But these Freezer Smoothie Packs do require a little extra work. And extra as in 5-10 minutes of prep time. Which, is probably how long it takes to lug the delivery box into your house, unpack the contents into the freezer, and dump the box into the recycling??
But the benefits are more money in your pocket and a freezer full of smoothies that you will most most definitely use because you can cater them exactly to your tastes. Sounds good? Let's get to freezing!
There are three basic smoothie recipes below. They are each 5 ingredients or less and can be left as they are or loaded up with as many superfoods and protein powders as your heart desires. Some days my heart desires a lot, other's it just wants a pure and simple peanut butter strawberry banana smoothie.
And please note that the questionable color in these smoothies is not swamp water, but just plane Jane spinach. It adds a load of nutrients and while its coloring qualities are questionable, its flavor is not. You won't even know its there. Promise.
