Hi Friends! Back with our monthly check-in/coffee date. How are you doing?
I am feeling like things are still crazy but maybe looking up a bit? Still working on that work-from-home/mom-life balance.
Having some days that feel like big wins! I squeeze in a sweaty workout, cook dinner, demolish my work to-do list, spend quality time with my son.
Other days I fail at all of the above and forget to brush my teeth until 2pm. Life happens. Trying to give myself some grace on the crazy days.
Streaming Church:
My favorite quarantine blessing in disguise has been finding new online church services. I often watch the life stream of my own church on Sunday, but it's been great to sneak in even more throughout the week. I'll open a sermon on Youtube, put in some headphones, and listen while I work.
Some days life feels heavy and this has been a great way to get in some positivity during the day.
Some of my favorite channels are:
- Reality San Francisco - One I've listened to for for years! Each sermon is packed with meaning.
- Calvary Spokane - My home church! Pastor Ken has both weekly sermons and daily devotions on his Youtube.
- Calvary Chapel Kaneohe, Hawaii - A recent find. Their pastor J.D. is so joyful even with everything going on in our world. I always feel uplifted after each sermon.
Currently eating:
This month has been all about PRODUCE! The stores are loaded with summer's best and we are not about to let the bounty of summer pass without some produce-heavy meals.
We've been eating Summer Rolls packed to the brim with veggies. And on busy weeknights, we've been enjoying them in bowl form!
This Risotto with Roast Tomatoes has been the best way to use up all those garden fresh tomatoes.
And we are still on that Zucchini Bread Train. Not sure if we're ever getting off.
Loving Lately:
Beach days. Park days. Pool Days. Soaking in every last one until they're gone.
Yoga pants. Who isn't?! But this new pair I received for my birthday are my new fave! The 25 inch length is perfect for short gals like me (5'2"). It hits right at the ankle.
Am I allowed to say the Instant Pot again?? We use ours 3-4 times a week for making perfect rice, beans, and more!
Since moving, I have been searching everywhere for my knife sharpener. I FINALLY, several months and a lot of dull knives later, found it! And sharp knives have never felt so good!
