This quick and easy Strawberry French 75 cocktail is a fruity spin on the lemon flavored classic. This light drink recipe uses just 3 ingredients and is sweetened with fruit only! Its the perfect bubbly spring beverage.
I remember navigating the bar menu in my just-turned-21 days. I felt like I was playing Roulette. Spin the menu and see what drink it gives me.
I was alcohol ignorant and had no idea what I liked and whether or not I would remotely enjoy the drink I just ordered. A few times I hit the jackpot and loved the drink, but many times, it was a struggle to finish what was in my cup, or pawn it off to my friends.
One fateful night, I ordered a French 75 and it has been one of my go-to's ever since. It's light and bubbly, doesn't punch you in the face with sweetness, is perfectly lemon-y but not too sour, and the effervescent bubbles are the perfect touch. I finally found my "I-dont-know-what-to-order" order.
This Strawberry French 75 is that classic, never let you down, drink all spruced up for Valentine's Day. Since this post is publishing on the V-Day itself, I knew it needed to be fast, easy, Valentine's themed, and delicious.
Our Strawberry French 75 comes together in 10 minutes, couldn't be simpler to make, and the champaign + fresh strawberries part more than takes care of the delicious requirement. Plus, its pink.
I will eat pretty much anything. Aside from my food intolerances, I have never been a picky eater. But when it comes to drinks, there are a few things I stand by:
- They can't be sweet sweet. I'm not looking for a sugar induced coma!
- Love 'em when they're sour. Not Warhead status, but a little citrus goes a long way.
- Clear alcohols are a must (with the exception of wine! I'll take that any color thankyouverymuch). I wish I was a whiskey person, but I'm not. The stuff makes me scrunch up my face in a very unappealing way. Maybe I'll become cool eventually. Until then, tequila, gin, white rum, and vodka are where I stand.
- Bonus points for bubbles.
This Strawberry French 75 fits my picky drinkers pallet perfectly. It's slightly sweet thanks to the strawberry puree, but is actually free of sugar!
It packs a citrus punch thanks to some fresh squeezed lemon juice.
And this Strawberry French 75 is made with champaign for those wonderful effervescent bubbles (and could use a splash of vodka, if you're so inclined).

Hi Erin, You are right! Which is why I provide instructions for adding hard alcohol to the recipe in the post body. My audience tends to be low-alcohol, so I do my best to cater to their needs :)
